How your firm uses it

Step 1

Create an engagement

One per client business — set the industry, purpose and valuation date.

Step 2

Pull the market evidence

Live comparables, derived betas, multiples and a bottom-up WACC for that sector.

Step 3

Run the valuation

Enter the subject's numbers; market multiples + DCF reconcile to a concluded range.

Step 4

Export the expert report

A defensible, court-ready PDF with a full audit trail — in minutes, not weeks.

Shows its working

Depth that stands up to scrutiny

Not a single number from a black box — every valuation exposes its full analytical working, on screen and in the report.

Football-field value range

Every method on one chart — market multiples, DCF and precedent deals — so the concluded range is transparent at a glance.

Sensitivity analysis

Enterprise value across a grid of WACC × terminal growth, plus a full EV/EBITDA multiple range — defend the number under cross-examination.

Scenario modelling

Low, base and high cases flex revenue growth, margin and the exit multiple, giving a defensible band rather than a single point.

Full DCF schedule

Every year of free cash flow, the discount factor, present value and terminal value — the complete working, not a black box.

WACC / CAPM build

Cost of capital from the ground up: risk-free rate, equity risk premium, re-levered beta, after-tax cost of debt and target gearing.

Court-ready audit trail

Every input traced to its source and timestamped, with versioned history so you can show how and why value changed.

Business valuation software — questions, answered

What is business valuation software?

Business valuation software estimates what a company is worth by combining its financials with live market evidence. Corvana runs market-multiple, discounted-cash-flow (DCF) and precedent-transaction methods, reconciles them into a concluded value range, and produces a court-ready expert report — turning weeks of spreadsheet work into minutes.

How do you value a business with Corvana?

You create an engagement for the subject company, pull live comparable companies for its industry (with derived betas, trading multiples and a bottom-up WACC), enter or upload its financials, then run the valuation. Corvana applies market multiples and a DCF, cross-checks them against precedent deals, and concludes an enterprise and equity value range with sensitivity and scenario analysis.

What valuation methods does it use?

Three complementary methods: market multiples (EV/EBITDA, P/E, EV/Sales) applied to normalised earnings; a discounted cash flow (DCF) using a bottom-up, CAPM-derived WACC; and precedent M&A transactions. The results are weighted and reconciled to a concluded range, with marketability (DLOM), control (DLOC) and control-premium adjustments applied to equity.

Are the valuations court-ready and APES 225 compliant?

Yes. The exported expert report includes APES 225 valuation-standard compliance wording, an expert declaration and a full audit trail where every input is traced to its source — built to expert-witness standards for litigation, disputes and regulatory matters.

How much does business valuation software cost in Australia?

Corvana’s Forensic & Valuation Intelligence is an add-on from $999 per business per month, with no per-report fees. It replaces costly per-seat data terminals and manual spreadsheet modelling.

Can I use my client's Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks data?

Yes. You can type figures in manually, import from connected accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks), or upload financial statements as PDF or Excel for automatic extraction into the valuation model.

Is my data kept onshore in Australia?

Yes. Corvana is Australian-built and Australian-hosted, with per-firm data isolation, role-based access and PII masking — so sensitive client and financial data never leaves the country.

Secure, per-firm data isolation Works alongside your accounting connections Built for expert-witness standards
